1. Always bring water with you wherever you go.
2. Set mini goals throughout the day to help you.
I have these mini goals that I use to help me consistently drink water throughout the day. For instance, when I wake up in the morning, I immediately get a glass of water and I make sure that glass is finished prior to taking my morning shower. During the day, when I realize that I haven’t drank water in a while, I push myself to finish the glass I have in front of me.
You could also pick up one of these awesome water bottles with time markers. The time markers indicate how much water should be consumed by a given time.

3. Use an app to set reminders and help you track your progress.
I’ve tried a few different apps out there. The one that has worked the best for me was Plant Nanny. I find this app to be very effective because it sort of turns drinking water into a game. I always say it’s about your mindset. Change your mind and your thoughts – and change your world. This app does just that! The goal is to keep your plant alive by watering it. You water your plant by logging in the volume of water you consume in real life. The more you drink, the more your plant grows. When your plant is all grown, you can move it to the greenhouse and plant another one. I know, it sounds like a lot of work. But don’t knock it until you try it! It might just work for you! The app sends also you push notifications (don’t forget to allow them) to remind you it’s time to drink. This is another feature that makes the app effective for me.
